Tracing Transcendental Tone explores how archaic and contemporary scientific implementation of sound can be incorporated into new technological interpretations. The project documents through transmedia documentary a compelling journey of discovery that invites the public into the role that sound can play in healing, health and well being. It focuses on the development and creation of a pop up immersive sensory environment that uses innovative media applications to share this research with the public. It also incorporates web content to deliver a narrative that allows audiences to understand the health benefits of sound healing at the same time as providing experiential insights. The project is an online resource, a documentary film, and a pop-up installation which will extend public engagement through media, film and music festivals, and on-line audiences, building on previous successes working in these mediums.
